Families, singles, and honeymooners all appreciate Diani Beach for its kite surfing, snorkeling, and general beach relaxation. But how can one go to the seaside paradise of Diani?
On the way to Diani Beach
Diani Beach is situated in Kwale County, some 20 miles south of Mombasa, and about 300 miles southeast of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. Travelers can choose to arrive in Mombasa straight from international flights operated by airlines including Ethiopian, KLM, and Lufthansa, which depart from locations in Europe and other areas of Africa.
Others might land from a quick domestic flight on Safarilink or Jambojet out of Nairobi. Domestic flights link tourists from the capital’s busy center or from major Kenyan safari locations, like the well-known Masai Mara. These flights, which typically take an hour, normally take off from Wilson Airport in Nairobi and land at Mombasa Airport or the Ukunda Airstrip.
